How Can severe Kidney Pain And Nausea Be Treated?

My calcium level is 10.5, 67 yo and I have stage 3 renal insufficiency. Now, iI am having pain in left kidney radiating all around to right side.I am nauseated. When I try to eat solid food I will start hurting, but gets better with liquids. Endoscopy several years revealed a hiatal hernia on my left side. I don t know if this is kidney or related to hernia. Thank you for your time, Nancy

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your last check up was several years ago as per your statement. I highly recommended consulting immediately with gastroenterologist and nephrologist.

You need to run a few diagnostic tests such as chest x-ray and abdominal ultrasound, urine analysis, liver/kidney function test. After analyzing the results can determine the right diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
